ABOUT THE AUTHORS

Dr. Mingzhang Wang: Materials Scientist and Manager of Laboratory Services

Dr. Wang has a PhD in Materials Science and Engineering from the University of Science and Technology, Beijing (1995) and over eight years of post-doctoral experience at the University of Pennsylvania (1997-2000), Oregon State University (2001-2003) and Lehigh University (2004-2005).

His research expertise include material design, preparation and testing using metallurgical, mechanical, physical and chemical methods: metallography, fractography, image analysis, SEM-EDX, TEM, XRD, AES, AFM, XPS, Mossbauer, FTIR, DSC, I nstron. In addition, he has expertise in surface improvement and finishing, cleaning, plating, coating, polishing, etching, corrosion and electrochemical testing.

He has over 30 publications in peer-reviewed journals and conference proceedings, and several governmental research reports. Dr. Wang's one of the main accomplishments is the development of the electrochemical fatigue sensor technology for durability assessment of aircraft structures and turbines for the US Air Force.

Dr. Satish Mohapatra: President and CEO

Dr. Mohapatra has been the President of Dynalene Inc since May 2006. Prior to his current role, he served as the Vice President of Engineering at Dynalene for about 5 years. He has over 14 years of experience in designing and developing thermal fluids such as low temperature heat transfer fluids, secondary refrigerants for supermarkets, and cooling fluids for electronics and fuel cells as well as nanofluids.

He received his B.Tech. (1990) and M.Tech. (1992) degrees in Chemical Engineering from Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) and Ph.D. (1997) in Chemical Engineering from Lehigh University, PA. Dr. Mohapatra is a member of the American Chemical Society (ACS), the American Institute of Chemical Engineers (AIChE), and the Lehigh Nanotechnology Network.
